Northbilt Customs: Urban Scrambler

We recently met up with Brett Johnson of Northbilt Customs in the heart of the racing capitol of the world, Indianapolis, Indiana where he has a shop on the famous "Gasoline Alley" home to some of the finest machine shops and racing specialists the city has to offer. We were actually visiting one such shop right there recently to have some XS650 valve work done when the shop owner told us about Brett and his incredible Honda scrambler project he was just finishing up, built from a CB350F. We said, well that sounds amazing but couldn't be possible since the CB350F was notoriously an inline four and scramblers are always two cylinders.

Indian Larry Motorcycles: Past and Present

We recently had the chance to speak with Bobby Seeger Jr. while in St. Louis when he had brought two of our favorite Indian Larry bikes to the Cycle Showcase event. The quality of an Indian Larry motorcycle is sincerely something you just need to see up close to appreciate and we were excited to take this moment to snap some photos of the bikes to illustrate just that. While its easy to see a custom bike and think "well that's a good looking chopper" when you really begin to look at the engineering that went behind making an Indian Larry bike you realize, these bikes were actually made to be ridden and ridden every day.

The Mint 400

Dan had never planned on winning the Mint 400. He just wanted to ride and have a good time. He faced a lot of difficulties and mishaps during his first desert race and he graciously took them all in stride. He learned a lot and is already planning on returning next year better prepared for the realities of difficult desert racing.

GL1000 Giveaway Bikes!

Old Bike Barn eats, sleeps, and breathes vintage motorcycles, we strive to keep vintage machines on the road. With that being said, we know buying a used bike and tracing issues previous owners "fixed" can be quite the hassle. We're here to save one lucky person the headache of fixing someone else's problems! The OBB crew has always talked about doing a giveaway with a road ready vintage motorcycle but finding the perfect bike to give away held us up. We wanted it to be something special, something that made a statement in the motorcycle industry... and that special something is the HONDA GL1000!

Mad Max Run
