If you find yourself in Southern California, there's one thing you definitely need to do - and that's plot a course across the winding cliffside roads of the famous Ortega highway en route to the beautiful town of Temecula. There you will find the heart and soul of one of our favorite companies that produce parts and gear that just about any motorcycle enthusiast can appreciate. Of course, we are talking about Biltwell Incorporated. We were lucky enough to find ourselves on the Ortega Highway this past fall and followed it right to the Biltwell headquarters. Their facility is not only a warehouse but features a one stop shop retail storefront with every Biltwell product in existence. You can feel the positive energy in the building as their seasoned workforce of moto veterans work hard to keep the spirit of riding motorcycles and having fun alive one well made product at a time.
At the heart of all this is Bill Bryant, the thrill seeking and innovative ring leader of Biltwell that's hard at work in the Temecula headquarters every day finding new ways to continue to provide great motorcycle gear that is as functional as it is fantastic to look at. We see Bill here with the company's mascot Tyrone putting in another hard day at work keeping spirits high at Biltwell HQ. Biltwell has always been a tight knit family that encourages everyone to live their best life on two wheels, and they set a classy example of how to be part of the moto ecosystem.
We were also lucky enough to get an up close look at Bill's race bike -
the "Frijole 883" - that he rode for the NORRA Mexican 1000 race. They had the bike on display in the storefront as well as at the premiere of their video documenting the incredible route they conquered making it through this intense off-road race. Bill and a team of riders recently took on the famous race stretching the entire Baja peninsula in 5 days and finished with flying colors. The team consisted of riders Bill Bryant, Mike Deutsch, Rob Galan, Chris Moeller, and Erik Westergaard.
You can see the video documenting the Biltwell team's incredible adventure across the Baja race on an 883 Harley sportster here:
Blitwell's own Flynn Bryant directed this film and we couldn't be more excited at how it turned out.
We here at Old Bike Barn have been privileged to call these folks friends and collaborators over the years and we are proud to carry Biltwell products!
Here are a few shots of some of our favorite Biltwell gear that you can find on their website and ready to try out in their retail storefront. Do yourself a favor and order online or get over to their store in Temecula and try out some of their fantastic products today.
